Montgomery's Settler's Cottage to Reopen May 18

Settler’s Cottage, Montgomery’s historical museum, will reopen for the summer season on Sunday, May 18.  

From 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., visitors are invited to learn more about Montgomery’s rich history in this restored 1840s home, located in front of the Village Hall at 200 N. River St.  

Displays covering topics including the Civil War (did you know we had a Civil War camp in Montgomery?), early businesses, a military Wall of Honor and the Montgomery Methodist Church. The museum is free and is handicapped accessible.

From May to October, Settler’s Cottage museum will be open on the first Saturday of each month and on the third Sunday of each month, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
