Montgomery Police Participating in Cop on a Roof Event Friday

Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Montgomery Police officers and officers throughout the state will once again stake out Dunkin’ Donuts rooftops in May to heighten awareness and raise donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

In return for the police officers doing time at their stores, Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $10,000 to the Torch Run fund. In addition, everyone who visits a Cop on Rooftop store on Friday May 31 from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. and makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a free donut.

Montgomery Police will be staked out at the 1601 Douglas Road location.

“People who donate at least $10 will also receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug and coupon for free coffee” said Officer Ashley Mauer.

Over 22 years, The Montgomery Police Dept. has participated in raising funds for The Illinois Special Olympics.  Contributions can also be mailed to COP ON TOP, Sgt. Liz Palko, Montgomery P.D. 10 Civic Center Ave.  Montgomery, Illinois 60538.  Please make checks payable to: Special Olympics Illinois.
