Moms Talk: Fast Food Nation

Each week in Moms Talk, our Moms Council of experts and smart mothers take your questions, give advice and share solutions.

Here's this week's question:

When fast food chicken chain Chick-fil-A opened near Fox Valley Mall in Aurora, people camped out and cars lined up. Now Chick-fil-A is to open on Route 34 in Oswego. One mom wrote about the opening, "Choice is nice -- but it's just another drive-through restaurant -- something my family is actively trying to avoid." Another commented, "Oh great another fast food, junk food restaurant." Is it an uphill battle to find local and healthier alternatives? Has it become mom and dad versus fast food restaurants or does your family welcome the ease and convenience of quick meals? Will you be clucking all the way to Chick-fil-A or should they stay away?
