Local Business Owner Organizing Triathlon Team to Benefit Two-Year-Old Fighting Cancer

Tri-ing for Kevin will happen during the Oswego Triathlon on July 21.

A local business owner is stepping up to help out the family of a 2-and- a-half- year-old battling brain cancer.

Kandra Witkowski, owner of The Pooper Scoopers/Watch Dog Pet Sitting, is organizing a triathlon team to raise funds for a family fighting aggressive brain cancer in their 2 and a half year year old son, Kevin.

Tri-ing for Kevin is a triathlon team that will be running in the Allied First Bank Oswego Triathlon on July 21, 2013.

Here's a little bit about Kevin: At 21 months, Kevin was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive form of brain cancer called ETANTR (Embryonal Tumor with Abundant Neuropil and True Rosettes). He has since had two brain surgeries and six rounds of chemo, but is now battling a third time and underwent a bone marrow transplant on July 1st to fight off the tumor.
