Get Out: Have a Rockin' Easter Weekend

Patch's weekly roundup of the best places to go for weekend fun.

It's Thursday, and you have no idea what you're doing this weekend. Don't worry, Patch has your back. Welcome to Get Out, our weekly list of the best places to go for weekend fun. It's Easter weekend, so in addition to the usual good time hangouts, you'll find a couple of fundraisers for people in need listed below.

1. Fix the Roof Fundraiser
Where/When: Chapel on the Green, 107 W. Center St., Yorkville; Tuesday, April 26 at 7 p.m.
Why Go: One man band Johnny Gray and the Yorkville Big Band will play a benefit concert for Kendall County's oldest church.
Price: Donations accepted.

Where/When: Panera Bread, 1330 N. Orchard, Aurora; Saturday, April 23 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Why Go: Celebrate Spring with a freshly baked treat, decorate a cookie with your family.
Price: Free.

3. Stitch and Chat
Where/When: Oswego Public Library, Montgomery Campus; Monday, April 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Knit, crochet and talk to other knitters and crocheters. Bring a project or make items for the Stitches from the Heart organization.
Price: Free

4. Benefit for Rocky Mitchell
Where/When: Piper's Banquet Hall, 1295 Butterfield Rd., Aurora; Saturday, April 23 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Help raise money for Rocky, a local dad who has ALS, and jam out to Debbie Does Covers.

Where/When: Hoppers, 181 Commercial Dr., Yorkville; Friday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Why Go: A fundraiser to benefit the Kendall County Food Pantry's Project Stand by Me/Project Brown Bag.
Price: $9 per child
