Fay's Barbecue Meets Free Rock and Roll on Thursday

The deadline to order a barbecue meal for next Thursday's Concert in the Park is Monday. So hurry up!

How are you spending next Thursday night? How about eating some fine barbecue, lounging in the setting sun, and listening to some free rock and roll?

And now, what if you could help out the Greater Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce at the same time? Sounds like a win all around, right? Well, you can do all of the above on Thursday, July 14. Here’s how, in five easy steps.

1. Go to the Chamber’s website, scroll down to “Upcoming Events,” and fill out the order form for Fay’s Barbecue. You can choose from pork chops, chicken, or a combination, and get a full meal—including baked beans, applesauce, coleslaw, and a buttered roll—for $12.

3. On Thursday, pick up your Fay’s Barbecue meals between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. There will be a dine-in area at , 200 N. River Street, and a drive-through set up so you can pick up your meal on the go.

4. Head on over to Montgomery Park, at the corner of Mill and River streets. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, and check out local rock band Gallery, playing as part of the Fox Valley Park District’s Concerts in the Park series. The show is free, and will feature covers of your favorite hits from the ‘70s through the ‘90s.

5. Get a nice tan, relax, and chill out. You’ve earned it.
