Family New Year’s Eve Party Starts Celebration Early for Kids

The Family New Year's Eve Party will ring in 2013 with a variety of festivities.

Families and children can start their New Year’s Eve activities early with a celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the Vaughan Athletic Center.

The Family New Year’s Eve Party will ring in 2013 with a variety of festivities. Kids and adults can get energetic while climbing and bouncing on giant inflatables, playing interactive games, competing in hula hoop contests, viewing sports demos and dancing to the latest tunes with a live DJ.

“This event gives kids their own celebration,” said recreation supervisor Lisa Peterson. “They don’t have to stay up until midnight to enjoy a New Year’s party.”

Party favors will be distributed to all pre-registered guest for the countdown to 2013 that will feature a colossal balloon drop at noon.

Pre-registration by Friday, Dec. 28, is encouraged in order to guarantee admission, party favors, activities and a snack. Advance tickets are $7 per person (ages 2 and up). Children under 2 are free. Day-of tickets are $10 per person, with party favors and snacks available while supplies last.
