Adopt Me: Amee's Been Through a Lot and Needs a Home

Found abandoned on a front porch, Amee is a medium-hair cat with a ragged tail and a burn mark, but a sweet and friendly personality.

Welcome to Adopt Me, a weekly feature in which we spotlight animals looking for homes. All the cute critters featured in Adopt Me are currently at the Kendall County Animal Shelter in Yorkville or the Oswego Animal Hospital.

Amee is a three- or four-year-old medium-hair cat that has clearly spent some time in the wild. Her tail is broken in two places, and will need to be docked, according to Kendall County Animal Control Warden Christine Johnson, and she has a burn mark on the top of her head. Amee was found abandoned by a resident, and brought to the shelter on Monday. She's been through the wringer, but she's sweet and friendly, and would be a great lap cat.

For information on adopting Amee, call 630-553-9256. , Beauty, is also still available for adoption at the shelter.
