Volunteers Age 55+ Needed

Oswego Senior Center Needs Your Help:  A volunteer, age 55+, is needed who is able to operate a small cultivator/tiller at the Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington St, Oswego, for the garden area in front of their building.  Equipment is provided.  This space is used to grow vegetables for the seniors who attend activities in the Oswego Senior Center or donated to a food pantry.   We will work around your availability.

Habitat for Humanity’s Fox Valley ReStore needs volunteers age 55+ for pricing, sorting, or light cleaning in their new store located at 4100 Fox Valley Center Drive, Aurora.  ReStore sells used and surplus building material, furniture, and gently used items at a fraction of retail prices, raising money for Habitat for Humanity and diverting material away from landfills.  95% of the Fox Valley ReStore’s proceeds go to build homes in the Fox Valley Area and the other 5% of proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity’s global housing.
