Rover Rescue Dog of the Week

Greetings.  My name is the Royal Dutchess of Rover Rescue, but you may call me Dutchess.  I come from the Red Tick Coonhound bloodline and I am a regal purebred.  I am 4 years old and weigh a delicate 40 lbs.  Even though my name indicates that I am nobility, it is obvious that in my past, I was not treated as such.  When I first graced Rover Rescue with my presence, I was deathly scared of everyone and everything.   My foster mother, a true saint, has been teaching me that life can be enjoyable and that people are not always a reason to fear.   I am now looking for a “furever” family that will have a grand amount of patience as they continue to work with me and train me to be the best Dutchess I can be.  I am still a work in progress!  I would benefit greatly from having another dog on the estate to help build my confidence.  I have learned from the common canines I live with now that love, attention and pats on the head are truly majestic.  I think that walks are splendid, also.  I know proper household etiquette and am housetrained.   If you would like a proper lady to join your family, please do not hesitate to contact Teri at 630-897-7454.
