'Country and Bluegrass' film screening at AU
“Country and Bluegrass,” the fourth of six music documentaries in Aurora University's 2013-2014 film series, will be screened with a post-show discussion and live music at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, at Perry Theatre in Stephens Hall, 349 S. Gladstone Ave. in Aurora.
The free, public program traces the emergence of bluegrass from Appalachian descendants of Scotch-Irish settlers into a popular subgenre of country music.

The America’s Music series will continue with America's Music: Rock," March 10; and "America's Music: Latin Rhythms from Mambo to Hip Hop,” March 24.
The public is invited. Admission is free but registration is required.
