Weapons at School Results in Charges for Thompson Student

The student is 13 years old.

A male juvenile, 13, was arrested at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson Junior High on Boulder Hill Pass.

He was charged with the unlawful use of a weapon and the unauthorized storage of a weapon, according to Oswego police. The school received information that there may be something in the student's locker and performed a search, said Oswego police Captain Jeff Burgner.

The weapons found included Chinese throwing stars, brass knuckles and a fold-up knife, said Burgner.

No threats were made in the incident, Burgner said.

Wow this hits so close to home my kids are in district 308

This needs to stop
The violence, the threats, the bullying

It makes me want to pull my kids out and home school them just to keep them safe

I pray everyday for.my kids that they return safe from school and I bless all the kids and the famlies that they come in contact with .

The schools need to do more to keep our kids safe.. I'm glad that this kid was caught before anyone gets hurt .

I hope that the parents do some kind of therapy on this child
