Snapshot: Kyle Moser and Family at the Super Bowl
Send your community photos to steven.jack@patch.com
U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kyle Moser of Oswego got the trip of a lifetime over the weekend when he attended the Super Bowl with members of his family and legendary Bears quarterback Jim McMahon. Moser, who was badly injured in Afghanistan in November, was the guest of the Hope for the Warriors Project. These photos and the following article are courtesy of that organization.
Moser flew to Indianapolis with his wife Alex, his father, Bob, and his stepfather, Ronald Zander. They were invited by Jim McMahon to come to Indianapolis and attend many events leading up to the Super Bowl. For the Super Bowl, Hope For The Warriors® worked with our supporters to get tickets for each of them.
On Wednesday night, they attended a Meet & Greet Celebrity Mixer with Jim McMahon.
On Thursday night they attended the Swang N' Super Bowl Bash 2012 as Jim McMahon’s guests.
On Friday night, an avid supporter of Hope For The Warriors® invited us to meet a few people at the Marriott Hotel where the Giants are staying. We arrived and had the unexpected invitation to attend the private Giants’ Football Team party that night!!!!
On Saturday he spent some quieter time with Jim McMahon and guests before they headed out of town. Then we went to the 8 Second Saloon where Kyle Turley, former Saints Football player, now a performer, was playing.
Finally, the big game. All 4 of the family members attended and had a great time!
Special thanks to Anne Woods of the Hope For the Warriors group for providing these photos and the article.

Kyle looks wonderful! It's amazing what the body can endure when the spirit is a warrior! Way to go Kyle. You're on your way and our prayers are constantly with you.

It is wonderful to see the smiles and happy times on his face and also his wives.
I know this question might to be too soon, but any thoughs about a home coming celebration for Kyle. Something like "Oswego honors the Mosers". I would love to be a part of his home coming. Maybe it too can be a fund raiser too? My e-mail address is Wistrand1@comcast.net. Thanks Alicia

I've got some "big" ideas for a fundraiser for Kyle later on, and I love the idea of a real homecoming celebration. There'll be thousands of people who want to help....and I mean that literally!

Great, put me on the list as an organizer...we ( and my family ) can do much to assist in the planning of this event. Glad to hear that so many people are expressing such love and support for our Oswego hero. I hope he and his family can " feel " all the support we have for him and all he has sacrificed for us. He deserves a lot.

I'm sure there would be many more, just need to have some organization to the efforts and someone to put it behind a 401C or something along those lines. I work evenings but would make myself available at whatever capacity I could.

My company Valley Fire Protection has a fundraiser planned for March 18th at Parkside Lanes in Aurora. We are still in need of help if anyone is interested? We are in contact with the Moser/Zander family who is very excited about our upcoming bowling fundraiser for Kyle. 100% of all the proceeds will go to Kyle and his wife Alex. Please contact me if you are interested in helping out, or any ideas on silent auction items/raffle items. Also if you would like to attend that would be great. My contact info is rsiebolds@valleyfire.com or you can call me at 630-761-3168. We have been advertising our event for a little while in newspapers. Kyle is an amazing young man who is very brave and strong. Thanks, Robyn
