Recycling Collection This Saturday in Montgomery

Residents can bring electronics (anything that plugs in), all types of batteries, car fluids and metal to the recycling event location to help keep them out of landfills.

The village of Montgomery will hold a recycling collection event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, at 10 Civic Center Ave., in front of the Montgomery Police Department.

The village hosts several recycling collection events throughout the year to help residents dispose of electronics and other recyclables that are not currently collected curbside.

During the event, residents can bring electronics (anything that plugs in), all types of batteries, car fluids and metal to the recycling event location to help keep them out of landfills. Paint, fluorescent light bulbs and car tires will not be accepted.

Call (630) 896-8080, Ext. 1114 with any questions.

Recycling collection events will be held on the third Saturday of each month through November.

Hi Jill,
According to Debbie Buchanan with the village, "Yes, anything that plugs in. All types of electronics, TVs, toasters, even lamps. Someone brought an organ and they took it! ANYTHING that plugs in."
