Project Runway Star Visiting The Prom Shoppe in February
Visitors will have the chance to receive an autograph from Jonathan Kayne and view his line.
Prom season just got a little touch of star power at The Prom Shoppe in Oswego.
On February 23 and 24 Project Runway star Johnathan “Kayne” Gillaspie will be visiting the Prom Shoppe to give autographs, display his fashion line and work with visitors.
One of the owners of The Prom Shoppe, Stacy Shaw said Kayne will be arriving around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 by limo.
“Anyone who is here before his arrival will receive a raffle ticket,” said Shaw. 10 winners will be chosen, who will be invited to a meet and greet breakfast at the Shoppe on Sunday morning.
The store will be handing out t-shirts for girls trying on dresses that Kayne will be autographing, although Shaw said she was sure he would still be up for signing other objects if girls brought them in.
“He’ll be in the mirrors working with the girls [on Saturday and Sunday],” said Shaw.
In 2006, Kayne was chosen as one of 15 designers to compete on season 3 show of Project Runway, and later came back in Project Runway: All Stars season two in late 2012 where he placed ninth.
The designer will be bringing his line of dresses with him, as well as his shoe line.
“We’re very exited to have a designer come,” said Shaw. She said they had been looking into having a designer come to the store and had felt that the price points of Kanye’s line fit well with The Prom Shoppe.
