Police Blotter: Drunken Driving, Stolen Gas and Phone Harassment

Monday, Jan. 29

Disorderly conduct

Darrius Garcia, 22, of the 400 block of Grant Street in Aurora, was charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly attempting to kick in a door of a home in the 0-99 block of Amesbury Road in Montgomery at 3:11 a.m., Kendall County Sheriff's deputies said. Garcia's footprints were found on the door, and a bottle of whiskey was found on the scene, which Garcia admitted to possessing, police said.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s office is investigating reports of telephone harassment in the 0-99 block of Ingleshire Road in Montgomery, police said.

Saturday, Jan. 28

Drunken driving, part one 

Manuel Gonzalez, 20, of the 500 block of Lee Street in Plano, was charged with drunken driving after police found him asleep behind the wheel of his stopped car at 5:10 p.m. on Webster Street at Route 31, Montgomery police said. He was also charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, police said.

Friday, Jan. 27 

Drunken driving, part two

Andrew Kennedy, 23, of the 100 block of Edgewater Lane in Sugar Grove, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 1:15 a.m. at Orchard Road and Cornell Drive, Montgomery police said. Kennedy was initially stopped for speeding in a construction zone, police said.

Taking “self service” too far

Someone pumped $66.75 of fuel from a pump at the Marathon station at 1 Boulder Hill Pass in Montgomery and drove off without paying at 8:33 a.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. Video footage is currently being reviewed, deputies said.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

Like spinning plates

Vichitra Tyagi, 39, of the 100 block of Fernwood Road in Montgomery, was charged with assault and criminal damage to property after allegedly throwing dishware on the floor and swinging his arms, causing family members to fear being hit, at his home at 1:04 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.
