The Man Store raised about $3,800 for the YARN Foundation and the Kendall County Food Pantry during a "Pig Out 2012" fundraiser, organizer Larry Motykowski said.

Montykowski, of The Man Store, estimated that at least 200 people attended the fundraiser, which featured The After Five Band and a dunk tank with local dignitaries.

Sponsors covered event expenses such as event shirts, equipment rentals, and trash cans. The sponsors were Beery Heating & Cooling, Legal Shield, Village Grind, Smokeys BBQ, Stevens Silk Screeningn, First Place Rental, Allied First Bank, Bradley Roofing, Dan Koukol for County Board, Dunwell Home Inspection, G.A. Blocker Grading Contractor, Liberty Insurance, Mamie's Toffee, Premier Print, Jacobsen Lawn Services, Area Restroom, The After Five Band, The Man Store and OurTeamAuto.com in Plainfield, which provided two whole pigs.

"I personnly learned quite a bit spearheading such an event for the first time, and next year will blow away what we accomplished this year by planning earlier and incorporating more interactive activities for all attendees," Motykowski said. "Thank you to all who purchased a ticket, and we trust you received value."
