Oswego High School Graduate Among Two New Cops on La Grange Force

Timothy Andries of Oswego and Kevin Comstock of Indian Head Park were sworn into the La Grange Police Department.

 

The village of La Grange welcomed two new police officers to the department with a swearing-in ceremony at the LaGrange Village Hall on Monday night.

Tim Andries and Kevin Comstock took the oath of office led by Village Clerk Thomas Morsch before residents and the officers' family prior to the board of trustees regular meeting.

Tim Andries is a 2004 graduate of Oswego High School and a 2008 graduate of Eastern Illinois University. Andries was recently discharged from active duty, having served from 2008-2012 in the 1st Infantry Division and in Afghanistan. He will begin his academy training at Triton College on Oct. 1.

Comstock graduated from the Illinois State Police Academy on Aug. 30 and has already begun his field training with the La Grange Police Department. Comstock lives with his family in Indian Head Park and is a 2005 graduate of Lyons Township High School.

Following high school, Comstock enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served as a security force/military police airman for over four years. Comstock holds an associate's degree from the American Military University and is currently working towards a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
