Oswego 308 Board Approves 1 Percent Raise for Administrators
Increase comes after administration took a salary freeze in 2010 and began contributing towards medical premiums in July 2012.
The Oswego 308 Board of Education voted unanimously following a closed session of the Feb. 11 board meeting to approve a 1 percent retroactive salary for 52 of the 82 District 308 leaders.
The decision was made after the district reported a reduction of more than $700,000 worth of administrator salaries and benefits in the last year, as well as noting that district and building administrators took a pay freeze in 2010 and began contributing 20 percent of medical premiums in July 2012.
The 1 percent increase will be applied to base salaries for qualified administrators and will be retroactive to July 1, 2012. New administrators to the district this year or those in a different board-approved administrative role will not qualify for the increase.
