Oswego High School will be well represented at the 2013 Illinois Music Educator's Conference in Peoria.

Two students were selected to participate in the All-State bands: senior percussionist Mary Watson, and junior clarinetist Nathan Krumholz. Selected as an outstanding Future Music Educator was senior trumpeter Michelle Penley.

And perhaps the biggest honor of all is that the OHS Jazz Ensemble, under direction of Kevin Schoenbach, was one of five jazz bands from the entire state selected to play at the convention.

The conference is from Wednesday, January 23rd, through Saturday, January 26th, and features the best students from all over Illinois.
