Montgomery Under Flood Advisory at Fox River

Waters will continue to rise through Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the Fox River at Montgomery.

As of 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, the river was at 12.2 feet. According to the NWS, action stage is 12.5 feet and flood stage is 13.0 feet. Waters will continue to rise to nearly 12.5 feet by Thursday morning, the advisory said.

Homes in Montgomery that would be at most risk of flooding are located along River Street north of Ashland, but those houses don’t usually take on water until the river rises to 14 feet, village officials have said.
