Man Charged with Lingerie Dept. Lewdness at Plainfield Walmart
Damien Dickens, 34, of Aurora is accused of making female shoppers uncomfortable with panty sniffing, inappropriate gestures.
Female shoppers got more than they bargained for at the Plainfield Walmart store last Saturday, according to police.
Damien Dickens, 34, of the 900 block of Windemere Lane in Aurora was arrested at the Route 59 superstore shortly after 5 p.m. Dec. 15 after allegedly making lewd gestures at women in the lingerie department, police said.

Dickens, who was charged with disorderly conduct, “picked up women’s underwear from the shelves and made a show off sniffing and smelling [the panties] in front of them,” Sgt. Mike Fisher told The Herald-News.
According to Fisher, Dickens previously made a similar spectacle at the Plainfield Target store, 12800 S. Route 59, and has been banned from returning to both retailers.
Even before the panty-sniffing incidents, Dickens was known to local police, according to the Herald-News report; in 2005, he made “at least 19” prank calls to 11 different law enforcement agencies, including Plainfield, Naperville, Bolingbrook and Oswego.
In 2006, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for filing a phony police report after making a series of false claims — namely, that a woman was being raped in a Naperville park; a Naperville gas station was being robbed; and a man was being beaten by gang members near Woodridge.
