70% of voters say NO to increasing 911 Taxes.
It appears with the voting today, that Oswego Village Predident Brian LeClercq, certain Oswego Village Trustees, and misguided elected officials in Yorkville are out of touch with voter sentiments in wanting to raise taxes to bring very costly Metra service into Oswego and have Kendall County approve of joining the RTA and raise our taxes for it.
A case in point is when voters have voted down a surcharge tax on 911 that we are already funding with other tax levies and surcharges on our monthly phone bills. The vote was 70% NO!

That was a small tax the voters said no on ... the RTA / Metra tax is much BIGGER and a More COSTLY tax.
We demand that the new Kendall County Board schedule a referendum on the RTA at the 1st election in 2013.
So, the rational voter consensus advice to Brian LeClercq is to fall on your sword (and feign health reasons when you resign) and forget fighting for costly Oswego Metra Service and cut the $7500 / year rider subsidy at the Park-N-Ride.
