CrossTown Classic: Everything You Need to Know

One of the biggest games of the season is almost here. Are you ready?

 

For the eighth year the Panthers and the Wolves will battle it out in the annual CrossTown Classic football game this Friday.

The Panthers (3-1) have never been defeated by the Wolves, who are also 3-1 this season. 

Here’s everything you’ll need to know for the upcoming game, from tickets to parking.

Where: Oswego East High School’s Football Stadium

Kickoff: 5 p.m. for sophomores, 7 p.m. for varsity. Gates open at 4 p.m.

Ticket prices: $4 for Adults, $2 for Students (Grades K-12) and $1 for Seniors

Advanced tickets: Can be bought at each school’s athletic offices from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. leading up to the game. Those that should pick up advanced tickets are:

The following people must go to the OEHS athletic office to get their advanced ticket:

  • OEHS Sports Boosters who have purchased the All Sports Pass
  • OEHS students with activity passes
  • OEHS Fall athletes
  • OEHS senior Football, Cheer, Dance and Marching Band parents
  • Any District 308 staff member

The following people must stop by the OHS athletic office to get your advanced ticket:

  • OHS Sports Boosters who have purchased the All Sports Pass
  • Any District 308 staff member

Seat saving: No reserved seats will be sold.  No saving of seats will be permitted. Blankets placed on the bleachers will be removed and discarded.

Parking:  Will be available in the East and West lots until both are full at Oswego East High School. Remote parking locations and shuttles will be available at the Oswego High School and Plank Junior High/Churchill Elementary parking lots. Signage on Wolf’s Crossing and Harvey Road will inform the public when the lot is full. Expanded handicapped parking will be available in the lot of OEHS. 

Shuttle services: Satellite parking with shuttle service will be available from:  Plank Junior High, Churchill Elementary and Oswego High School.  Shuttles will begin at approximately 4:30pm and run until 30 minutes after the conclusion of the varsity game.

Restricted routes after the game:

  • Fans exiting the East lot of OEHS and parking lot will be allowed to travel North or South on Harvey.
  • Fans exiting the West lot of OEHS will only be allowed to travel West on Wolf’s Crossing.

Be patient: Oswego Police Officers and Community Service Officers will be located at intersections most affected by the increase in traffic and will assist with traffic control in these areas. To reduce traffic congestion, all people driving to the event are asked to carpool. Fans are asked to remain patient as the lots are expected to take longer than normal to clear.
