Boulder Hill Man Facing Aggravated Battery Charge for Sept. Beating: Sheriff

Incident occurred in the 0-100 block of North Bereman Road.

Justin Gribble, 23, of the 0-100 block of North Bereman Road, in Boudler Hill, is being held in the Kendall County Jail on aggravated battery charges, stemming from an incident Sept. 29.

At about 8:45 p.m. that day Kendall County Sheriff’s officers were called to Rush-Copley Medical Center for a report of a battery that had occurred. The victim stated Gribble struck him on the head several times with a blunt object near Gribble’s home, according to the sheriff’s office.

After an investigation, a warrant was issued for Gribble’s arrest March 1, and he was taken into custody Thursday. Gribble was charged with two counts of felony aggravated battery, police said.

He is being held on $20,000 bond.

Awesome, they took almost 6 months to charge this guy with battery. But they can charge the guy who pushed the Off-Duty Sheriff Deputy the same day that happened.
The police dept needs and good enema and quick.

I agree- that shows an extreme bias in the Dept.

You are talking about two different departments and two different situations. Sometimes they have to conduct a larger investigation that takes more time to get to the bottom of things. That's just common sense.

Point one: people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. I am sure that if we put you under the spot light 24/7 we will find some errors in your judgement or doings.
Point two: Why is everyone so into critizing the police and not completely and utterly outraged to the point of getting together with the community and stopping the crimes before they happen? Also, why isn't anybody outraged at the young adults and the increase in their misdoings. It all starts at home and due to the stress/pressures of our society today they kids are lost out on their own and acting out. I am constantly outraged at how the children today act.
Point 3: Can everyone get off their computers, stop commenting on what they consider an outrage with these miscellaneous cases and be part of the community in helping to stop crime and outrageous acts before they happen! Be proactive and not reactive.
Point 3: Don't comment/criticise unless you are willing to get off your computer and do something about the problem...get involved in the community outreach programs, etc...If you aren't willing to help out and do something about it then you should not be criticizing others.

Point 1. I have NEVER pulled a gun on anyone in the Wal-Mart, or beat up a boyfriend.
Point 2. We pay the cops to use better judgement. I'm outraged and voting to change the politicians. As for kids today, they haven'tbeen taught to respect anyone, but just try to tell their parents that !!
Point 3. Again, that's why we pay the cops .
Point 4. You have point 3 up there twice ...

Point 1: I was not saying the police officer was correct in his actions...he was totally wrong. Overall, I am frustrated at the amount of people that do not participate in any way in the community to make it better for all but find the time to post on here about everything. And, when you ask them to volunteer they say the don't have any time. Really? You have time to post on Patch!!
Point 2: "...try to tell their parents that!!" ---that is exactly my point! How many posting on here are the parents of some of the outrageous rotten kids in the community. They have the time to post but not spend time w/their own kids teaching them right from wrong and disciplining them. I am tired of parents saying, "oh what did you do to make my kid do that?" I taught school for 1 year and got out immediately after calling 1 of the parents about their kid and being told by the parent, "I don't call you at school when he misbehaves at home" how appalling!!!! Teachers ARE NOT BABYSITTERS!!!
Points 3 and 4 were meant for both the parents of those kids that have the gall to have any opinion on here and the rest of us who complain but do nothing such as helping a community outreach program to maybe do something like offer to be a role model/big brother/big sister to high risk kids, as an example
Point 3/4: thanks for pointing out my typo...you told me!
