I seriously hope they cancel the game. Parents dont want to travel in this and we dont want to miss the game either. Also, those kids need to drive home after the game. i am hoping this is all we get from this storm, but I have a feeling its not.

What come on this is not a big deal people, this happens around here in these months. Geez, and you will see that it will be over and the amount will be a little more then the last storm. Which by the way the predicted it was going to be a end all storm and was only 2.5 inches here.I have to shake my head on this one.

Richard, I don't think it is as much the amount as it is the amount and the timing of it. Since for many events (band concerts, practices, etc) parents have to transport to and from the events (even truer on an early dismissal day like today) it becomes a challenge for parents to get off of work and to the schools in time (since traffic will be slower because it is hard to plow when there is traffic).

So you end up with either kids missing events or teachers/coaches/etc having to stick around waiting for a parent who got stuck in traffic. In the bigger scheme of things, this seems like an obvious move to me.
