Volunteers Needed April 16 For West Side Litter Clean Up
Highway 30 from Gordon Road to Orchard Road has been adopted for Litter Pickup. The first pickup this year is scheduled for Saturday, April 16th from 9-11 am. Volunteers are needed and all materials will be provided.
About 12 volunteers are needed, so if this is something you could consider, please email email@example.com more information. Volunteers will meet at the Montgomery Police Station (Griffin Drive and Route 30) to get started. A car and driver is also needed to carry a cooler of water, first aid kit and generally be available for the convenience and safety of the pickup volunteers.
The Illinois Department of Transportation has provided safety vests, trash bags and will pick up and dispose collected litter bags following the event. Anyone over the age of 10 is invited to participate. With several volunteers working together, the job should go quickly.
Vouchers for community service hours will be signed. Community service groups are welcomed to assist. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
