Montgomery partnered with The Conservation Foundation to offer a rain barrel program.

The public can pre-order rain barrels by calling the village at (630) 896-8080 x1224 or by coming to the front counter at the Montgomery Village Hall. The barrels, available in terra cotta, blue, gray and black, cost $70 each with wooden stands costing $20 and flexible connectors for $5 each. Pre-orders conclude on May 12.

Barrels can be picked up on Monday, May 16th from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall in the Multi-Purpose Room, on the lower level near the River Street entrance. 

Then, a free seminar by Jim Kleinwachter of The Conservation Foundation on the use of the barrels will be offered May 3 at 7 p.m. at the village hall in the community room on the upper level.
