Because Village Clerk Barbara Argo tendered her resignation, Montgomery is looking for a village resident to fill the position until the April 2013 election is held.
Argo's resignation is effective February 28.
Michelini said requirements for the village clerk position are as follows:
· Attend two Village Board Meetings each month and one Committee of the Whole Meeting, plus any Special Board Meetings as scheduled. Meetings typically are held at 7:00 p.m. on weekdays.
· Transcribe meeting minutes from audio recordings and written notes, emailing them to the Village Manager by the required deadline (usually within one week).
· Be available to sign documents at the Village Hall at least once a week (can be on weekends).
· Excellent minute preparation, keyboarding and computer skills are required.
Hours are estimated at six to nine hours a month attending meetings, along with another 12 to 18 hours transcribing those meetings and preparing minutes.
Pay is $6,000 a year.
